Dory Point Territorial Park is an excellent place for a roadside picnic or a break. Located on the south shore of the Mackenzie River, where the Great Slave Lake ends and the mighty Mackenzie river begins.

First Good Place to see the Mackenzie River

This was the first place we stopped at which allowed us a good view of the Mackenzie River. We got to see a barge moving freight up the river and as long as we had our individual can of insect repellent (his and hers cans)...More
