The fountain is not very popular, but does look imposing and impressive in its own sense. There was no water during the winter, but when there is, it would look even better that when I saw it. Definitely worth walking by.

The Gefion fountain is a large and impressive fountain at the corner of Churchill park, near the Langelinie waterfront. The fountain represents the Norse goddess Gefion with a group of strong oxen. It is an easy stop from a hop on hop off tour.

Right by the Little Mermaid and really impressive. I wish I'd seen it in with the water running though as I think it would have been beautiful. Worth combining with visit to the little mermaid as they are within 10 minutes of each other. Its...More

You can see how this is impressive when running and even in the winter it is a very good statue if nothing else.

We came across the Gefionspringvandet completely by accident during our walk after having visited the nearby Little Mermaid. This is a very large impressive fountain, and I say impressive even although the water was not running during our visit at the end of February. It...More

On your walk to/from the little mermaid, drop by this place; the fountain offers a mythological statue and is of impressive size. It should look even more impressive in summer, with water running over the split levels.

Nice piece of artwork next to a pretty little church, close to the Little Mermaid statue as well. No water in it in Feb at time of visit but you can still appreciate its quality even without flowing water

Looking at the photos this looked like a really nice fountain to visit. We came here on our way back from the little mermaid statue. Even though it still looks nice there's not currently any running water due to it being cold. But I'm sure...More
