Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary...more

Nyhavn is the most popular area of Copenhagen. Although it is very precise and offers a pleasant walk, the main street is crammed with kiosks selling sweets, woolly accessories and so on, something I found very touristy. Even the pubs/restaurant in that street have a...More

this area of Copenhagen is very charming, and it was delightful to walk along the canals and look at the older wooden boats and sailing vessels. Sad to think that there are signs up to watch your wallet as it is a high-theft area by...More

One of the cosiest places in Copenhagen. Very easily accesible from the Kongens Nytorv Metro Station. Centrally placed, a vist to Nyhavn is highly recommended. The pricing in the cafes and bars might be a little higher but the ambience is super!

I visited Copenhagen on the 12th Jan with my sister and friend. I'm really into photography so I was very excited to visit Nyhavn and get some snaps! The weather wasn't ideal as it was raining, so I didn't quite get all the shots I...More

This was the perfect spot to have fun while in town. Loved the ride and seeing the beautiful city from the water was incredible. The staff was great and I had a wonderful time. Don't miss.

Nyhavn is something of a book mark for Copenhagen. Colorful, friendly, and cheerful are great descriptors for this iconic spot. We enjoyed simply strolling the canal, having a simple lunch or dinner, and taking photos of beautiful sights and folks. A must when in this...More

The laid back atmosphere in the port of Copenhagen is the first impression. Coming from Nytorv you have the guests of the bars sitting on the left and the local Copenhageners sitting on the right with their "høker bajer". Translated as the beer they brought...More

We visited at Christmas time so it was dark early and full of twinkly lights, if anything this added to the atmosphere but blocked the panoramic view of the street. Its a nice meander or bimble of a walk, we also passed by on the...More

One of my favourite places to go, no matter what time of year. Beautiful to look at, great bars & restaurants, lovely cafes too. A definite stop when in Copenhagen. Easy location to jump a boat tour from too.

This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its
blend of charming old buildings and bold new
architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well
as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner
city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which
consists of three buildings, two of which are new and
situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and
