Took a run out to see these guys one night. It is a strange sight. At first glance they look like they have been imported from easter island but upon closer inspection they are much more stoic looking. Much more intense. Just looking out to...More

A must if you you are in the area. I went for a run and was positively surprised. It is big and inspiring. Reflect the old fascination and respect the people of West Denmark have for Vesterhavet.

Spectacular, but impressive statues by the sea. There is no other activity in the area, but it is a great place for a picnic, for example.

They just keep getting bigger when you go closer. Kind of bizarre look and placing. One of them is shorter than the others.

It is funny have such simple figures can have this great effect. Right by the beach and just across the road from the Fisheries - And Maritime Museum.

Have a moment of reflection at the seaside by this unusual monument. Look at the sea and think for a while.

If you happen to visit Esbjerg, a beautiful little city in the coastal part of Denmark, definitely pay a visit to Man Meets the Sea, just a short drive from the centre. They are four massive white concrete men sculptures, calmly sitting down, gazing at...More

The beach where 'Mennesker ved havet' are placed has an extremely good view to Fanø and over the exit towards the North Sea. The beach is wonderful to take a walk or to explore the water and what is in the water. We went to...More
