We stayed at Alsos House in Kalambaka and drove from Delphi. There is a walk up from beside Alsos to Holy Trinity we only walked half way up in the evening but easy cobbled path.

Meteora deserves more than a one-day visit. Besides the Monasteries themselves - or even more impressing than them, in my opinion, are the rocks soaring 200m or more into the sky. The views are impressive.

I spent a week staying under a tree at Vrachos Camping.....and spent every day just walking up through the bushes towards the monasteries...no buses...just go it alone and you will be surprised what you will see more than the tourists on the bus.....take water lol...More
