This is very unique in two ways. The temple although out of limestone is very unique in that the pillars are one piece! Not a normal things. Also interesting is that St Paul was tried and found not guilty very near to the temple. The overall ruins are in a bit better shape (ie: much more of them) than many other places.

This temple was incredibly beautiful! I went when it was the full moon and the entrance was free.
Fireworks, lights, live music and the amazing temple lighted was a unique experience!

The Big Ruin at Corinth
Jul 2021
This is the most visible and notable part of the ancient site and one that everyone takes lots of photos of. We were very lucky to be here all by ourselves and it was magical.

Symbol of ancient Corinth
Jul 2020
Seven doric columns (out of original 38) form a characteristic symbol of ancient Corinth. The temple itself dates back to 540 BC and is part of the archeological complex.

The Temple of Apollo in Ancient Corinth
Jul 2019
The Temple of Apollo is the most visible and obvious monument, in Ancient Corinth. Towering above the ruins of the ancient city, it can be seen from almost any vantage point - something which must have been true even 2,000 years ago. It is impressive, even in its remains and ruins and gives one a sense of just how impressive and monumental it was to the citizens and inhabitants of ancient Corinth. While the worship of the pagan god Apollo has long passed away, the remaining vestiges of his importance at the time are manifest in the magnificent remains of the Temple of Apollo to this day..

Imposing & Impressive
Sep 2019
Rising up between the sea and the Acrocorinth is the Temple of Apollo. It is impossing and impressive and in good condition considering its age and the environment in this region.

It is a humbling experience to walk around the Temple and know that so many others of importance and those that contributed so much to history have walked there before you.

Loved it.

Ancient Corinth is much larger in area than expected. The Temple of Apollo is amazing and walking the grounds built in 5 BC where Paul lived for 3 years touches your soul. There's a cute village with shops and restaurants with lovely and talented vendors. We did not drive up to the fortress at top and will definitely return when in the area again next year!

Impressive!

The Temple of Apollo is what really catches your eye as you enter Ancient Corinth. It is an impressive ruin and towers over Corinth. You can never take too many photos of it, especially from different angles.

This isn’t as good condition as Paestum, but is still very beautiful after more than two thousand years!

Corinth is very fortunate to have this gorgeous backdrop to the city. Corinth is on the sea, behind it are the ruins and the Temple of Apollo
