plaka forest is beautiful with many peacocks and cats running around it’s really great! however an individual now ‘manages’ the wild animals by feeding them. Unfortunately it takes away from the forests wildness :( all of the animals are located at the very start of...More

Follow the road until you come to an obvious parking area, here the peacocks and cats, yes cats, are fed. The pine forest is lovely, the shade the trees provide gives lovely cool areas and the pines smell wonderful. I could have stayed here all...More

Someone from our hotel recommended us to go see this place. It’s free with lots of peacocks around making lots of noise, very good to see! However it is only for sight, there isn’t anything else here so make sure you have brought a picnic!

Always worth a 20 minute diversion to divert off the main road and through the little valley to stop in the shaded clearing amongst the trees and get up close with the birds (and cats). Good photo opportunity. kids will enjoy it

Until 3 years ago, the peacocks and feral cats at the "Peacock Forest" were naturally wild. But now they are now "managed", apparently by an individual, not officially. As a result, the animals are now over-fed with food lying around. Areas are also taped off...More

We hired a quad bike for the day to explore the island and dropped in here on the off chance. It was a brilliant find, really laid back but full of animals. We only stayed around 40 minutes but if you took a picnic it...More

A beautiful forest just full of peacocks and cats. We didn't spend long here but I absolutely loved it (I think my fiance was pretty bored) there's no facilities or anything here so don't grumble about not getting snacks etc. It's how a forest should...More

Worth a visit for plenty of beautiful peacocks and it’s nice and shady too (being a forrest) There was also the bonus of a few tiny adorable kittens!

Cool place for a stroll and picnic out of the heat - visit any time during the day. Many peacocks strutting their stuff!

Almost certain that this is not on any excursions or trips simply because the access roads are not suitable. You have even to be careful in a car as the roads are so rough and uneven !
