We were looking for swim spots to rival those in Croatia and this really delivered! It's such a stunning setting and you can swim on either side of the peninsula on which the monastery is built (and even swim through a grotto connecting them). When...More

A rare beauty area with the monastery on the edge of the rocks surrounded by the sea. It is a must visit once in your life. Inside the monastery the old saint paintings are very emblematic. Highly recommended. If you own a boat vessel ,...More

fantastic old monastery about 14th century I believe on a outcrop of rock. While we were staying at Paradise place which overlooks the monastery we saw two traditional Greek weddings where the bride arrives by boat and walks up the steps to cheers and clapping...More

We walked there from Gialos and loved it, takes approximately 20mn and is a nice walk. (I am currently 7 months pregnant and managed perfectly). You can then find a rock and bath from there. Amazing!

Well worth the visit, the Chriopigi Monastery is beautiful and stunning. Situated on a small outcropping of rock, you can drive directly to it. There are rudimentary facilities available, however they weren't the worst we experienced during our trip.

Explored the island in our little rental car and stopped at Chrisopigi. Beautiful setting, lovely monastery and an other-worldly swimming hole. Magic!

Sifnos is a walkable island. From the ‘city centers’ of Appolonia or Artemonas, you can walk to many beaches and points of interest, like Chrysopigi. It is a bit of a hike but the trails are well marked and maps are available all over the...More

We walked to Chrisopigi from Platis Gialos and came to this stunning monastery sitting alone on the headland. Panagia Chrisopigi is the patron saint of the island and a famous pilgrimage from all over Greece. It has exquisite architecture and was built in 1650 on...More
