The place itself is really amazing. Very small but so lovely! The church is really fascinating. Entrance is 3€ per person. I wouldn' have missed it but please don`t expect anything extraordinary. Unfortunately almost everything is locked up - so you can see the animals...More

If your interest is from a Greek Orthodox perspective or because of its special significance during WW2 a visit is very rewarding. The palindrome over the water supply in the monastery reads, ‘ Wash not only your hands but also your heart’

It is good when you plan to visit Preveli Beach and easy to find if you just follow the signs from Preveli Village. The entry fee, including the Museum is 3€, parking lots are available. The Museum and the Monastery are nice to visit, we...More

An old monastery which presents ordotox routes of Crete. It is full of historical pictures of Saints. the area outside is also interesting and includes a small zoo.

Costs 3 euro pp. You can only visit the church and a small museum. Nice stopover when hiking the gorge or staying at the beach.

Really liked the history if this place concerning allied soldiers protected by the monks. Nice place to wander around.

We traveled by car that we rented and used a navigator :) All I remember is that the road was good.
