As common for monasteries - nice location and calm atmosphere. A nice church and small museum. The monastery was a hiding place for Allies pilots in WWII.

We visited both the current monastery at the top of the hill and although nice the ruins at the foot of the hill are far more interesting and away from the coaches of tourists

Enjoyed the scenery good location. Monastery is well looked after and a nice place to be around. Sad that my daughter couldnt see all the animals they have - ostrich goats peacock etc. They are all unavailable to the public at all and are closed...More

Lots of history, in WWII the Abbot and monks assisted Allied service personnel who were escaping from the German invaders at great risk to themselves. There is a memorial en route the Monastery showing the Abbot carrying a gun alongside a solder. Calm with lovely...More

This is the place of beauty and peace where you can enjoy the view of the sea and the cedar tree. The little chapel has countless beautiful icon. Before you go to Preveli Beach you should visit it.

We traveled by car that we rented and used a navigator :) All I remember is that the road was good.
