Although a solemn visit for the obvious reasons, this location is maintained to highest standards and the exhibition is first class. Really pleased to have taken the opportunity to walk to the cemetery as it was a very worthwhile visit.

The cleanest cemetery ever. All graves vere numbered. Very impressed to see the date of the death of the most of the bodies. Must see if you visit Maleme.

My wife and I visited the Fallschirmjäger cemetery today. The hillside setting overlooking the sea is striking. The VDK has done an outstanding job in maintaining this cemetery in perfect condition.

Lovely stroll up the hill to see here, you also pass the Minoan tomb. Beautiful views when you arrive. Quite moving seeing all the graves. They have a room that gives you a little bit of the history about Crete during the war.
