We stayed near the harbor and it was good for having lunch nearby the water. There was easy access to convenience stores for water and the bus station to travel to other parts of the island.

This normally sheltered harbour was experiencing the pre-cursor of a huge storm...waves were encroaching into the harbourfront shops and restaurants. Nonetheless, it is a fascinating place - easy to imagine what the town was like when the Venetians ruled...and, with climate change upon us, I'd...More

A great place to roam around. The old town as a whole is lovely for roaming. The harbour also has a lot of seafront cafes and restaurants though I would opt for the back street restaurants. Better food and cheaper.

Take a stroll, sit on a bench and enjoy the view of the colourful houses and restaurant and listen to the sound of the waves.

the old Venetian harbour is what makes Chania unique, and the scenery is unique in Crete and in Greece, immediately recognizable. Wonderful atmosphere, full of restaurants, bars and shops, obviously full of people and very busy at the hight of the tourist season.

The Venetian old harbour is an ideal location to stay whilst visiting beautiful Chania. It’s not too far from everything & will be quiet as it’s away from the restaurants & bars

Hotel Vilelmine is really well located, quiet with excellent owners, the rooms are really nice but it doesn't have a lift.
