Attended the service where the epitaph is carried round the parish Lovely service, beautiful church and an amazing experience to have spent Greek Orthodox Easter here

This magnificent church stands in front of Piraeus port. Interior is much richer than those in Athens. Caretaker at the church is very friendly.

Agios Nikolaos is the guardian of the sea for sailors departing from Pireaus...nice Greek Orthodox church with nice frescoes and sculpture serves as a sanctuary for this port city. Nice pucs inside and out.

What a beautiful example of a Orthodox Church, if your waiting for a ferry or cruise ship, take a moment and see this wonderful church.

You can find churches on many places in Athens, but this one, Sailors Saviour St.Nicolas, looks much bigger and more tremendous then others. Worth visiting

The Orthodox Icons with silver covers were beautiful . I have seen this type of thing before but to me these were special.
