We still like the plaka as it has evolved (were here in the 1970s). A pre and postprandial walk there is recommended.

This is the best part of Athens at night. Fun shops and boutiques, lots of open air restaurants - mostly Greek food - but that’s why you’re there. 😊. Love strolling there every time we are in Athens.

This is a great little pedestrian neighbourhood with many restaurants and shops. Almost all of the restaurants have large outdoor eating patios. I visited a few restaurants for dinner and enjoyed all!

The Plaka is a tourist attraction, to walk small avenues in this area and shop have a coffee and then find a supa restuarant to relax and observe! You see old and new, some beautiful old buildings amongst those refurbed. Bursting bougainvillea arching cobble stone...More

If you exclude the dirty vandals (with garbage, ridiculous and indecent graffities, urban arbitrariness, traffic anarchy etc), Plaka remains the surest way to feel the greatness of the ancient Greek world!!

My Wife enjoyed this area, so many souvenir shops, jewellery is very good. Few people begging, not sure they are genuine. Mind your valuables, pick pockets paradise.

Hi, I visited in April and it was pretty quiet even around 10. And I think this will be the same in September. I did walk by Adrianou street and didn't find it noisy post 10 during my visit.
