This temple is one of the few on the Acropolis without scaffolding. It's beautiful and has a super interesting backstory. Would recommend you visit the museum before you visit the Acropolis. Seeing the real artefacts and learning about the history and amazing restoration process definitely...More

Early summer is definitely hot but worth the visit! It was really nice to look at during day and night. The hike/walk up there is exciting when you see it closer. You are not supposed to touch the marble of the temple and as always,...More

This temple is rather small in comparison with the other, but it is very beautiful and still holds some frescos

For those of you, who, like me, are trying to plan out how to see all these monuments in Greece, here's a shortcut: they are all pretty much at or on The Acropolis. This shouldn't even be a separate listing. Cool temple, 5 minute stop,...More

We wandered past this, and as this has been restored, it does not hold the value for me. Still, many throngs of people are there. Hint: be careful, it’s sloppy and difficult footing. Meh!

This is a must see and should not be missed despite the other humongous monuments on the hill. It has been beautifully restored.

The Temple of Athena Nike is a small building just to the right of the Propylaea entrance, it was built in the 5th century BC. It has been beautifully re-constructed and an important part of the entire Acropolis complex.

If this temple was standalone and located 50 miles from the city center, would I visit? Probably not. But as part of the acropolis it adds to the charm and history of the area. If I could walk right up to it and have a...More
