A beautiful little chapel with a lot of artwork and paintings at the top of one of the best vantage points in the area.

The chapel is on one of the hills of Athens and I would like to say that the church itself looks big from outside and as you go in you discover that is a small church. Also as you go in you discover that there...More

This little white chapel is dedicated to St. Georges, and is constructed right on the rocky point of the top, you can see still some rocks, and I visited it on the hight of Lycabettus hill, you can light a candle and have a wish;...More

Worth the visit but only if you have the time. Other than the chapel and a restaurant, there isn’t much up there. No doubt the view of Athens is great from up there, the similar 360 view of Athens city can also be seen from...More

Im not really a church person so only popped my head around the door as my wife had gone in to light a candle, very small but spectacular views from outside, where there are also a couple of "tat" vendors.

The views from the top are the real gem here. The chapel is pretty boring and super small. ride up or walk. We rode.

Nice surprise to find a Greek Orthodox chapel on top of Mount Lycabettus. The chapel was built in the late 18th century. The tall belfry was a gift from Queen Olga of Greece in the late 1800s. From the chapel steps are wonderful views of...More

You have to walk up the stairs... But it is worth it to see Athens from above. Really nice view and the small church is very nice

Took the cable car up and down.... Much easier than walking the myriad of steps. Wonderful views over Athens from the top where the Chapel is. Beautiful Chapel too...

We had a leisurely walk up through the park and actually stopped half way for a bit of lunch ! Not too hard a walk or you can catch a Taxi to near the top or the cable car/funicular to the Restaurant nearby.
