This river passes in between the main city. It has many small temples at its bank. The river water is also used for water supply in the region.

it has its source on trikut hill deoghar. mayurakshi literally means peacock eyes.the source of this river is not easily visible on the trikut hill

Mayurakshi river is one of the major rivers of Bengal has its source in Trikut hill. It then flows thru Birbhum and Murshidabad and falls into Hoogly river.

Never actually wanted to visit the river itself but visited for some official purposes. Went with the colleagues. That's not much of a tourist attraction spot, i guess.
