On the end of the large place “Praça dp Almada” here you will see the statue from “Eça de Queiroz”. This is a statue of one of the unavoidable figures of Póvoa de Varzim. Eca de Queiroz is a Portuguese novelist that was very committed to social reform who introduced Naturalism and Realism to Portugal. A cozy square in the middle of the Povoa city, you sit at the bench or chill out at the cafe and restaurant nearby.
