Sometimes, a visit to an old cemetery can provide an insight into the history of the town or city in which it is located. Such is the case with the Agramonte Cemetery, located in Porto, which proved to be an interesting venue to spend a...More

The cemetery is one of the most beautiful cemeteries I have ever been; I normally don’t fancy cemeteries, but that one got me. The family graves are mainly old mausoleums and some have fantastic statue and beautiful flowers. Some graves have description signs of the...More

Happened to live next door with a view to the cemetery and practically passing by every time I went out. Fascinating place and worth a walk. Not only is it a tranquil place, but it is packed with big “mausoleums” that I found very fascinating...More

We randomly found the Cementery while going to the Casa da Musica and decided to enter: it was such a surprise! This iconic cementery has lots of architectonical interest and truly deserves a walk

Have been passing near this cemetery and always catching my eye from outside with beauty. Some coffins are placed in small "chapeles" with nice architecture. Different way of burrial people. Environment is beutiful with all the plants and flowers.

I came across purely by accident as on way to Boavista. This is a truly impressive cemetery and honours numerous famous and important people of Porto.

Happened upon this on way from hotel to city centre. I love a good cemetery and this one has the mini mausoleums and neatly kept avenues that make it so appealing. All a contrast to the tower blocks that make a very modern back drop....More

My bf and I came across the cemetery by accident. The cemetery consists of graves of notable people of Porto - those who could afford to be buried there. The place is beautiful, some tombs look really impressive. Worth popping in once you're around.

No there isn't. They are all free. You might be able to leave a tip with the people who look after the cemetery.
