Overview
More
The only place in Europe where one can visit the arch of a bridge, experiencing an both iconic and impressive building for its size and elegance; it is the only national monument of the twentieth century in Porto. All tours are guided and include a number of safety equipments - harness, lifeline and handrail; even those who have vertigo can climb! Once we reach the top, there is a unique view of Porto, in a quiet and relaxing place that is now open to the public for the first time in 53 years. At the foot of the arch, an exhibition on the construction of Arrabida and the other 5 bridges that connect Porto and Gaia invites for a stroll on the riverside.

Found the Porto bridge climb here on trip advisor and it did not disappoint! The staff was super friendly and made my nervous friend much more calm about the height!! The climb only took about 7 or 8 minutes. Once at the top the views...More

There were only two other people when I went up the bridge, so we were able to hear the history of the bridge and how the climb came about very clearly. The guide was great - fun and cheeky and knowledgeable. The views were stunning...More

I loved the climb, and it does not tire that much! The view is amazing and well worth the small effort. Moreover, there's still a surprise at the end of the climb

A unique and fun way to see the city. The bridge climb itself is not very challenging, so the option is available to many ages/abilities. For those afraid of heights, the path stays centered in the main section, which makes the feeling of being on...More

It's about 3 kilometers, meaning either 30-40 mins walking (which is nice walk next to the river half of the time) or ~10 mins with taxi
