Although Lamego is a small town but its museum has a good collection of paintings and tapestries displayed inside. Our cruise group was in good time to follow a guided tour inside with full explanation on the exhibits. A set of 5 religious paintings removed...More

This museum houses a very good collection of art rescued from nearby churches, as well as some important tapestries and some interesting tiled panels. It has a small gift shop inside the entrance.

People often say that small towns have nothing of interest. WRONG. The town of Lamego has everything including a fabulous museum. It's like an Aladdin's Cave. Turn a corner and there's something different. This is a MUST visit !!
