I don't think I have ever seen or entered such a real Castle, it looks every inch real, and walking through you can imagine soldiers manning the place, and preparing to engage the enemy. There is also an exhibition worth visiting.

Nice views, good prices (discounts for people over 65), interesting history of the castle inside the main building

The castle has a great view, entry is cheap (1 € for students) and looks impressive from the out- and inside

This was so important to the history of Portugal that you think it would be filled with information. But actually is very humble and simple.

Entrance fee is just 2 Euros. There are not much interesting sections of the castle to see, but at least from the wall are some parts of the town visible.

The castle looks very pretty from the outside - the view gives the impression of a strong imposing castle on a hill - which it was in its heyday. Unfortunately, much of the inside is lost - one can walk the walls and have a...More

Beautiful castle, it a shame that is almost in ruins but the towers and was still remains is well preserved. Entrance is really cheap, like 2 euros and totally worth the visit. There videos inside explaining Portugal history.
