The lush mini forest, with streams and chilly natural pools all over. The gardens, kept with so much love and work in an ever flowering condition. The sculptures... vivid and energetic, connecting the pilgrims to Jesus life. The views. The micro climate perfect for a...More

We took an antique tram to go up. Neither of us ever heard about this place but was part of the tour. Maybe the word atonishing can describe the grandiosity of this place, his meaning, his reason, his form and all the things and facts...More

This review is to clarify how to get to Bom Jesus by public transportation. The train from Porto lands you west of Braga center. It's a 10-15 min. walk to town, where you can tour the Se and other sights. The local bus to Bom...More

The park around the church is very well-kept and it provides a great view of Braga. Although I'd advice everyone to take the tram upwards, visit church & upper park and walk downwards through the monuments in front of the church.

This is must. It is recommended in each guide. You can get close to the top spot by car. Church inside is not so amazing because part of the venue- the altar is closed by curtain.

We were recommended this place by a Portuguese lady back home. Didn’t like the look of Braga much-a city...but this was like a little oasis in the middle. Worth walking up & down the steps to get different views but the funicular doesn’t offer any...More

Bom Jesus is in the district of Braga, and less than an hour bus ride from the town centre. The church is so beautifully restored, specially the altar. Wow! The views from the terrace is amazing on a clear day. This is a great place...More

Yes. We took a taxi and ordered one to pick us up. Ask the driver for the drop off address so you can ring / book another to pick you up. If you don’t book a taxi, you’ll have to wait for a taxi dropping off visitors. It’s a... More
