This is an excellent area to visit whilst you are in Funchal .The eccentric artwork painted on the old doors is a delight.

A lunch or dinner in this area is well worth your while as there is a vast choice of restaurants. The architecture is great finishing with a wonderful church up the hill at the end where you will find a great café at the lido.

Lovely little chapel in the centre and a spectacular flame tree. Many excellent restaurants for lunch or dinner.

Very impressed by the care taken by the town , its cleanliness, its civility. The squares and streets are beautifully paved

Très jolie place pour faire des photos à côté des bâtiments très colonial. ( Very nice place to take some pictures just near colonial building).
