I visited this quaint parish in 2014 for Christmas with my great Aunt with athritis in her legs. She was so happy to greet the priest who could understand her culture, and he has been well-traveled. This is a church for couples with young children....More

Standing impressively overlooking Funchal is the church after mounting the long set of steps you enter an impressive beautiful church. Free to enter and no over the top collection box. The tiles statues and altar are impressive worth the struggle up.
