The branch of the Blandy family living in the manor house in the midst of these beautifully maintained and varied gardens near the golf course high above Funchal can count themselves lucky, as I am sure they do (but I am equally sure they have...More

Palheiro gardens are beautiful. Fantastic setting. The plants and trees are wonderful - so colourful. Fantastic tea house is a wonderful place to stop off for a bit to eat and a refreshment. Easy to reach by bus from Funchal. Well worth a visit.

Lovely area and gardens with lots of trees and flowers. We enjoyed this visit very much but unfortunately the weather was very misty and damp, but we will return on a sunnier day.

Able to view the garden the morning of our return flight home. It was nicely laid out with attractive features and the relaxing air of a private estate. If travelling by taxi do make sure they wait you as it is a little inaccessible
