    Montserrate and Moorish

    If you are only in Sintra for one day skip Pena Palace and the National Palace. Treat yourself to the overwhelming architecture of Monserrate, and walk the "great walls" of Moorish. 5 star!

    Overrated in my opinion

    Very touristy (of course) We weren't too impressed. We were there beginning April so probably not even that busy. I dare to think what it would be like height of the tourist season. Prices were "tourist" prices we thought.

    Very touristy - but we all expect that Take a bit of time after your daily tour and walk around the town I came by myself on the train so I had time after the tour groups had gone to step back in time

    Just got back from Sintra and I got a perfectly adequate FREE map from the coffee shop right opposite the station (main entrance)
