THis is a very well preserved aqueduct located at the parking lot at the entrance to the city. However, it gets dwarfed by the old town of Obidos for tourist appeal; but it is definitely worth stopping and admiring

Strange to see this well preserved and maintained aqueduct running alongside a carpark. From the wall of Obidos one can see it running towards the fields in the distance. A great sight hinting at the wonders inside the walls of the city.

This aqueduct is one of the best preserved and beautiful I have ever seen, located in a rural area, near the castle of Obidos, already making us travel to a medieval period, the aqueduct teaches us how the constructions of centuries ago ... were already...More

The Aweueduto can be seen from the car park or if driving coming into the village of Obidos. It was commissioned by Queen Caterina in the 16th century & is a very impressive aqueduct.

If you come to Obidos by car you can park the car right at the aqueduct. Nice to take a picture or two. A bit more modern than Roman but still impressive when we think what they used it for.

Acqueduto da Usseira in Obidos central Portugal is a very good looking aqueduct for the background of pictures. Although it is a bit more modern than Roman structures it clearly illustrates how water was transported beforetodays modern systems.

Typical aqueduct put in by one of the queens to bring water to the castle. Worth noting on your way to the village. You really can' miss them if you're paying attention.
