A great view of the surrounding area from the walls. Some areas are high without a railing. You can see the town of Obididos within.

Loved the castle and walking the walls. Be careful with your kids - I held my 5 yr old’s hand the entire time but he loved the experience and wanted more. Stay in the town overnight after the day trippers have left for a truly...More

The Castle in my opinion is much beautiful at night and specially during the Medieval festival, usually during the Summer. It's a beautiful landmark with a nice view to the village and valley.

I'm scared of heights and was too scared to walk on those narrow paths. I enjoyed the shopping, the views and affordable prices for souvenirs.

A view from the castle is amazing! I felt like I'm in a them park or movie studio, but this is real. There are many little shops selling suvenirs or ginginha under the castle, it would be a pleasure to visit here as well.

Like any other castle-towns this one also has some interesting towers and walls to see the valley from high. During the walk on the main commercial road there are many shops to buy food, drinks and souvenir. I strongly recommend you buy the hot wine...More
