Great hidden gem in Lisbon. The roof terrace has, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful views over Lisbon. Worth a visit for that alone!

Turn up late, but before 17:00 (as we did) and there is a big chance that you will be almost alone! Take Tram 25 to get there. It is a great place to visit at the end of a busy, crowded day in Lisbon. Be...More

In the summer besides visiting a very nice church you can get refreshed and rest a bit. It is a monestery with a very rich history.

If you look up information of the opening hours of this place, it would say 10-6, with last admission at 5.30. This is incorrect, last admission is actually 5pm. We turned up at 5.15pm, and was not allowed entry. When I pointed out that online...More

Dear Ms. Karina, We are so sorry for what happen to you. In fact, there's several people that arrive here thinking that the last entrance is at 5.30 pm. This is a problem. In our website and TripAdviser page is only right information: last entrance...More

Please make sure you go to the rooftop terrace for spectacular views of Lisbon and the river. The monastery was quiet when we were there and not over-run with tourists. It's such a beautiful and peaceful place. There is also a small interesting museum.

Please do not miss this very interesting monastery. The white stone building has a richly decorated entrance-hall & sacristy, & if you climb the steps up to the bell tower you'll see one of the most beautiful views of the city. The numerous tiles decorating...More

This was our favourite place in Lisbon. When we visited it was not busy at all, we had the roof to ourselves to admire the stunning views, and the exhibits inside were fabulous also. The man at reception was very helpful and welcoming when we...More

You can be thankful that most common travel guides
don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part
of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel
like independent villages in the capital's center, and
more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants
and parks, as well as important monuments like the S.
Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a
spectacular option for those looking for a more

Yes, it will be a climb. Recommend taking Tram 28 at the Praca do Comercio if you have the time (and it's not too crowded) - the 40 min loop will take you right by the Mosteiro.
