Not the most obvious "attraction", but in my opinion worthwhile of a visit. Really at the end on the line of tram 28, get a coffee and visit this cemetery. I wan't familiar with a cemetery with mostly tombs, quite big ones as well !...More

This is one of the world’s great cemeteries, with avenues of beautiful monuments. It is an ideal stop on a tram tour: take Tram 25 to Campo de Ourique at the end of the line, and visit the cemetery (free). Return to the tram stop...More

Tram 28 terminates here. As far as cemeteries go this is quite grand and interesting. Lots of tombs above ground, peaceful to stroll round. Café near by to refresh those mortal remains.

We don't normally think of visiting a cemetery, but we were in the area we wanted to have a quiet wander around. It was surprisingly interesting for us and totally calm and well maintained, with tree lined paths of very decorative mausoleums and tombs. There...More

We went here from the Lxfactory by Uber and spend about two hours walking over the cemetery and diving into the story of it. It is a very different way of having coffins which are above ground in little family crypts. There were barely any...More

I often visit local cemeteries when on holiday. I'm a keen photographer and find I get some great shots in them whilst also viewing the different styles of mausoleums and graves. This one is no exception and is easily reached by tram. The cemetery was...More
