Well worth a visit, especially nice for children. Well laid out interesting exhibits. My husband and I spent a good hour and half wandering around. Different things catching our attention and drawing us on. Well worth 3€ each

We really enjoyed this museum. It's not too big but has plenty of interest to look at, and is very cheap. Also it wasn't busy and is just a short walk from the centre of Cascais.

Really only for kids. Nice one as such, and on the cheap (3 eur), but not worth your time. The exhibits are nice, you learn something for sure, but better use your time elsewhere.

For adults, there really isn’t anything special. Kids will be interested by the maritime stories, though

At first glance you may think this small, well presented museum is suited to children - but it’s not! There are mainly displays which involve lots of reading, based on the interesting lives of local fishermen and their families, the Portuguese monarchy who visited Cascais...More

The museum gives a very good overview on the history of the relationship between the citizens and the sea. Its approach is not simply an uncritical exhibition of the past, but with the background of the difficulties of life and survival. Very good presentation.

We enjoyed our visit here. It costs 3 euros entry and is well worth it. There are exhibitions on the history of the local fishing industry and the Royal influence on the area from the 1870s. There are also items from shipwrecks and an interesting...More
