Impressive library well worth seeing if in Coimbra. Groups of 60 are allowed in for 20 mins at a time. A little crowded.

The Joanina library is a bit overrated as the symbol of the Coimbra University, since there are so many other great (even greater) things to see on campus, like the Royal Palace, the nearby chapel and the view from the top of the tower. But...More

This was really a great visit. Having the opportunity to see this Biblioteca at the Coimbra university demonstrated the importance of the culture for the civilization in the 18th century. The building is very well maintained.

It feels like visiting Harry Potter when you stroll across the campus, visiting all the majestic halls. Really beautiful and not to be missed.

Very interesting tour of the university, the library, the palace and the grounds. The main library a step back in time. Worth taking time to visit

Biblioteca Joanina is a nice old library but does not offer anything more than similar or even nicer (and cheaper) other libraries that you can find anywhere in Europe. 12€ for the entrance are simply absurd, and get prepared for long waiting times as you...More

If you like old libraries to look through, this fits the bill. Interesting place even for myself, a person not usually interested in such things

I really can't give you a sensible answer because I, for one, haven't been able to work out how it should be done. Having said that, I am convinced that the "authorities" think it is at this web page! put slash y8tckm26 on a... More
