The setting in a mountain valley is breathtaking and the narrow walkways take you through a very pleasant park-like setting. The trails are lovely and well worth a visit.

Beautiful wild and yet romantic setting with plenty of lovely paths for short and long walks and nice little rivers running through. Peaceful and perfect for an outing alone or with friends or family. Perfect for pique-niques. There are also a couple of restaurants.

Beautiful spot but take the second turn off, the first only goes to the hotel. Pretty walks and a few nice shops. Some parking but not a lot on a busy day.

A bit of history here, not sure how old but interesting all the same. The hotel looks great, we took a wander through, there is a restaurant but did not use it but had drinks in the Tapas bar, that was nice and good prices.

Stop off here on the way up the mountain if you need a rest-break. The main square is pleasant enough for a drink. Otherwise continue onwards for better views/vibe and food at Foia.

This is one of those places that seems to split opinion. Some seem to love it and some like us seem a bit underwhelmed. I can see both points of view but personally we didn't feel the 50 minute drive from the coast was worth...More

This place is famous for its waters, you can find it bottled in supermarkets all over Portugal. I found the place somewhat disappointing, there was a spa a couple of restaurants and a shop selling art stuff. From a previous visit many years before I...More
