My wife, three of my sisters, my brother, my brother in law and I enjoyed a memorable day out on this lovely hidden gem of an island - just a short yellow speed boat ride from Faro Old Town.

The boat trip took us around the lagoons to see wildlife and birds and then stopped of on the deserted island for a half an hour or so.

Waders and waterfowl are to be seen if you take the nature boat trip, which travels slowly out and has a knowledgeable guide steering the boat.

Little peace of heaven. The ferry is great and 10 euro return. Beach is gorgeous and we felt like we had it all to ourselves. All the umbrellas are spaced out so not on top of each other. 8 euro for a lounger... dear but...More
