Algar seco is a rough track from the boardwalk, on top of the cliffs out to the lighthouse. Very enjoyable views. Some steep climbs too so strong shoes needed and certainly not for small children. Saw several people running on it but I wouldn't!

I cannot imagine a more chilling, relaxing peaceful, glorious spot to spend a few days. The ambience of the pool bar is enthralling. The Bistro food was of the highest order. Most memorable.

Lunch in the square in Ferragudo is a must. Take the trouble to walk up the hill towards the church via the narrow cobbled streets. Also, walk along the harbour side past the nets and grilling fish - but don't stop there... More
