A really amazing spot. Great to sit in the restaurant there and have a giant size beer and grilled sardines in the sun with the most amazing view. Many, many steps so not for really young kids or people who don’t enjoy steps! And nowhere...More
such an interesting place if you love rock formations and the wonders of nature. Good photo options. Wear sensible footwear. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties, however good view from the top, without going down into the area. - If you go to Carvoeiro...More
This is our second year staying in algar seco parque and it is one of the most beautiful places to stay. Upon arrival we were greeted and shown to our apartment whete a lovely complimentry bottle of wine awaited us. Seco Parque is kept impeccably...More
Just arrived back had a wonderful holiday Agar Seco is the best ever although this is our 3rd year.
Wonderful clean spacious apartments staff without exception eager to please and nothing too much trouble highly recomended.
Algar seco is a rough track from the boardwalk, on top of the cliffs out to the lighthouse. Very enjoyable views. Some steep climbs too so strong shoes needed and certainly not for small children. Saw several people running on it but I wouldn't!
We began our 2 night visit to Carvoeiro with a stroll along the path. The cliff views and the explorable rocky areas were as breathtaking as has been described before. Good physical condition, walking shoes/sandals and good balance would be helpful if you choose to...More

The boardwalk at Algar Seco is free and there are clifftop walks beyond the Boneca bar. The walk down the hill into Carvoeiro has lovely sea views all the way - but it is a steep walk back! While in Carvoeiro, it is worth taking a boat trip from the beach to see the caves. Parking is free.
Lunch in the square in Ferragudo is a must. Take the trouble to walk up the hill towards the church via the narrow cobbled streets. Also, walk along the harbour side past the nets and grilling fish - but don't stop there... More
Lunch in the square in Ferragudo is a must. Take the trouble to walk up the hill towards the church via the narrow cobbled streets. Also, walk along the harbour side past the nets and grilling fish - but don't stop there. Go through the narrow gap behind the lifeboat station and suddenly you will be on Scrublands beach - that is the 'locals' beach. A bit further afield is Alvor and the board walk around the Alvor estuary. Finish up with coffee on the harbourside. Fab.

There are concrete steps! For 8 years, is ok, just be carefull with him when down by the sea, can be slippery! Please note there are few good steps, definetly when you coming back:) but is worth the efort!!!enjoy!!
