I really loved the old town, it is a much more relaxed, pleasant experience than the strip. Full of little souvenir shops, cafe's, bar's and restaurants. I prefer the little traditional Portuguese bars that you will find up the side streets away from the main...More

Not much historic to see but lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Central tourist spot where you can join tours, eat, drink and shop. Decent beach too.

The old town of this historic fishing village is quaint yet vibrant. There are narrow cobblestone streets and lanes, with plenty of shops, fine restaurants, and bars. There is lots of activity here both day and night. The beachfront restaurants are an added bonus.

Great place to visit and walk around. Some nice old buildings, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Great views from either ends of the beach. Lots going in the square at night. Most of the area is traffic free but there is some delivery traffic.

From the advise of our hotel staff and guest, we ventured into the old town to experience what it's all about. A free shuttle from the hotel and 2 stops got us into the old town, the previous stop being the new town. The town...More
