Staying here is a real treat. The rooms are gorgeous and the entire building oozes history and character. Even if you're only in Evora for a day wander through the property to get a sense of what life was like back when the building was...More

We had a beautiful room/suite. It was furnished in grand style. The bathroom was wonderful too. It was spacious and very quiet. It is not a cheap stay but very very nice with a good location.

Had two comfortable nights at this posada and former monastery in Évora. Old European charm abounds, with candelabras lighting the cloister-turned-restaurant at night. Bathroom fixtures are functional, even if seeming like antiques. There is no modern hotel flash, but one does not seek same at...More

In the 1500's this pousada (government run inn) was a convent. As large and as architecturally luxurious as a palace, this pousada has more than 30 rooms for guests. We spent a couple of nights here and enjoyed the period furnishings, the central atrium, and...More

It used to be an iconic hotel and restaurant, now apparently frozen in time. Due to its central location, good to have a coffee or a cold drink before meandering away

The church dos Loios is small and very beautiful. It is mostly covered of azulejos on the walls. This is definitely worth the visit.

This is another place where one must visit, not just for religious reason but definitely for structural beauty and decorated tiles of wonders. Still in display bones about royal cemetery of privilaged promise inside church.

If you are lucky enough to stay here you will be adjacent to the Temple of Diana, the Cathedral and the Diana garden. I recommend strolling in and taking a look around. As long as you walk with purpose and don't seem overtly touristy, no...More
