To visit this shipwreck you can follow the sign off the C34. Right in front of the beach, the Zeila lies beached and birds seem to enjoy it as a nesting place.

A nice and close view of the Zeila that ran ashore in August 2008. Don’t get a fright when people run up to your vehicle, they are just selling the most beautiful gemstones. A bit expensive if you want to buy more than 3 big...More

Hard to review a shipwreck because you can not go on the ship as they are not safe. And this one is close to the beach which is good for pictures but not for diving as the surf is probably to rough. I stopped by...More

A Beautiful full view of the Zeila Shipwreck close to the beach and also accessible with a sedan vehicle. A nice compilation of a skeleton made of shells shows the skeleton coast and the reason for the naming of it

The Skeleton Coast is the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean coast of Namibia. There is a constant, heavy surf on the beaches. The Bushmen called the region "The Land God Made in Anger".

Just travelling down the road we suddenly saw this wreck close to the beach. It is one of many you'll find at skeleton coast

just a poor shipwreck, ran ashore vessel. But it gives the area a solemn mood. home for the seabirds.

It is not often that one can see shipwrecks from close-by. This is a very easy sight close to the road. Do visit it, very interesting.

Good photo opportunity, right next to the road between Swakop and Henties. No fee - just get off the road, get out of you car and spend a couple of minutes to view and take pictures of the wreckage.
