Kortrijk is a very pleasant little town that is an easy side trip from places in Belgium or from Lille. The walk through the town from the station revealed some interesting architecture, topped by the view along the river to the Broel Towers.

We did not go in as there was wedding photo shoot taking place, however the place was really nice, buildings were different and gives a nice back drop looking down river to them.

It is one of the best picture worthy attractions of the town here. You can walk around it and wonder the architecture

This summer and every Saturday the municipality of Kortrijk made the access to the towers free and added activities inside like a ballon room and fee falling jump. It is impressive to run through balloons in such an old building.

A lovely place to walk along the river and enjoy a summer evening. There ae cafes in the area and you get a good view from the bridge before heading into the town centre.

The area around the towers has recently been rebuilt, with lowered walls and steps down to the water, cafe's and outdoor seating. Very pleasant. And overshadowing it all the Two Towers.
