Loved my stroll around the Begijnhof. If you want to escape the crowded, noisy pavements of Central Bruges for a while, come here for some calm. Bordering Minnewater, the area is calm and reflective with some lovely buildings in front of the main church. Silence...More

This is a pretty, peaceful place, great for some photo opportunities. You can cover it in less than ten minutes. Just be quiet..they discourage talking there to be respectful of the area’s residents.

This is a convent for nuns. You can walk around the area by the church and go inside the church. When we arrived a service was happening. Lovely to be there for it. Very peaceful! A must visit if in Bruges!

Peaceful, tranquil atmosphere with nice walkways, a meditation area, good convent rooms, with lots of white swans in the waterfront and busy streets closeby.

A lovely spot to "get away" from the tourist hubbub that is Bruges, although some of the visitors don't really abide by the "quiet" signs throughout the square. A few chatty kathies could use a lesson or two in respect for "place".

It’s basically a tree filled square with old houses around the edge. A little museum you can go in and a church. Wouldn’t suggest going out of your way to visit it!

Nice place to visit. If you have kids, there are lots of swans and ducks right outside. The horses are also fed in this area.

The Begijnhof is a secluded part of Brugge, which is tranquil and away from the madding crowds of tourists. If you are walking from the train station towards the city centre, take a short detour and you will not be disappointed. The terraces and cottages...More

We passed through the Beguinage on the Legends Free Tour, and found the history to be fascinating and feminist. The grounds are quiet, serene and perfectly shaded for a few moments of respite in an afternoon in Brugge. Do note that all the trees in...More
