Had a wonderful few days meandering around the cobbled streets. Would definitely recommend just walking around with no particular agenda and you will definitely not be disappointed.

You should definitely pay a visit to Korenmarkt, Graslei-Korenlei, Gravensteen and of course Vrijdagmarkt once you come to this lovely city. Hope that you will arrive on a sunny day and also take a boat tour in the canals.

The city is vibrant both in people walking around, coffee shops, shopping and of course~~CHOCOLATE!! Great art galleries and antique shops. Didn't need a lot of time as it's compact in area size. Definitely worth a trip there.

We came to Ghent for a sporting event, not realising what a charming place the city centre is. The architecture is quite special: there are many beautiful churches and civic buildings and a mediaeval castle, but the river running through the centre is the hub...More
