From the outside, I was not sure that this was a cathedral. But once I passed through the front door, the splendor and architecture was obvious. The ornately carved areas as well as the general design was worth the walk to this building

I usually go into the towns main churches and was glad I called in this one as it was beautiful, with no art and just plain glass in the windows. This h Gave it a very different feel to most churches you go in.

This church is known as the locals version of the Vatican and I must say the building interior is very beautiful with the high dome white ceilings and great architecture. I loved the old pictures on the walls and the woodwork on the confession boxes...More

Not the inside, which is clean - apart from a roped-off area where falling stones have shattered. It's the outside of the church which needs (a) sandblasting to remove centuries of grime and (b) restoration of stained glass, covered by wire mesh. Requires an infusion...More

Exterior can use a serious renovation (at least cleaning). Shame to let this building slide like this. Same goes for most religious structures in this town. Inside, it is very light, there are nice wooden accents all around, with a large altar space in the...More

This cathedral has many nice paintings of biblical scenes. They also appeared pretty old to me. A mass happened to be starting outside, and this struck me as an interesting cultural phenomenon.

Built in the 2nd half of the 18th century, late baroque style. The presence of colourless glass combined with the white rendering within the dome gives the cathedral a very bright interior. Needs to be visited during a sunny day to witness and enjoy the...More

Nice to stop by quickly, but you've seen it all within a couple of minutes. Wouldn't recommend unless you accidentally parked your car right next to it as I did. The organ is very impressive though!

As member of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus we had a service in the Cathedral. Music, singer and service was in old tradition. Just fantastic
