We spent quite a bit of time here, and learned a lot about the history of Brussels. Very quiet- I think we were actually the only tourists here so we had the place to ourselves. Get the audio guide- it is free and you will...More

This was a nice but small museum, I had hoped for more. I do think part of it was closed though. The audioguide was free.

The Halle Gate was my first port of call on our recent long weekend in Brussels/Antwerp.This is an absolutely, amazing tourist attraction and I would have to rate as one of the best things I have seen in my long weekend to Belgium. The Halle Gate...More

If you like cool old towers that use to be gates to the city, then this Porte de Hal is for you. If you don't speak or read French you might want to get the audio guide since everything else is only written in French.

Unique building in the city. The only bad thing is the area was not so pretty surrounding the Porte de Hal. You can pay to go inside however I did not. Just enjoyed in the exterior and main gate.

We visited the Halle Gate (‘Porte de Hal’ in French) on a freezing Sunday in March and thoroughly enjoyed it. This 14th gate is the sole remnant of the second circle of medieval city walls around Brussels. Its present picturesque appearance is not medieval though....More

Would’ve gotten a lot more out of it if the signage was also available in English. The English audio device helped but I think it only captures about half of what the signage available only in in French and Dutch does. Still it is worth...More

Some interesting stuff to see. It isn’t a big collection, but they have a few cool items. Very few, if any, English information plaques; but if you can read French, no probs. You can go right to the top — nice view. Worth 7 euros?...More
