Impressive and full of history, such a lovely city to visit. We enjoyed every moment of this trip, but the visit to the town center was really special.

Another project of King Leopold II. Reputedly larger than the St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and the largest structure of the 19th century. Impressive building but an uninteresting eclectic style. Good views over Brussels from the square in front.

It looks like an impressive building but unfortunately is now full of scaffolding, and you cannot even go inside to see. However, it's worth going there as the surroundings offer and overlook of the city. ‎

This building is beautiful, inside and out. Unofrtunately there was a lot of construction work going on while we were there but it doesn't really take anything away from the grand building. I would recommend going and exploring the inside as it is rather breathtaking....More

This was the highlight of our weekend in Brussels. The building is awe inspiring. The atmosphere inside is like something out of a movie scene. Get here early and enjoy a wander around the beautiful neighbourhood afterwards.
