This church is a major landmark in Haarlem which we used as a guide to help us navigate the maze of side streets within the town. We were charged 2.50€ entrance fee which is used to support the upkeep of the building. Very interesting place...More

It truly is a beautiful church and there is a lot of interesting history. But unless church history or architecture are your things, then this may not be the stop for you. There was a small fee to get and, and we received a brochure,...More

We have time at Haarlem, passing by and visited the church, we didn't regret. If you have time you should visit Sint-Bavokerk. Really big church with magnificent organs, and sad/ugly Christianty stories.

Strolled around Haarlem and went into this church which asks for a minimal donation. Nice to tour if in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it unless you are an avid history buff.

It really does look almost like this a Saenredam painting, maybe a few more people in there now. And the organ has drawn Mozart and Handel to play it.

We visited Haarlem for a week in late July/early August. One of our first stops was the St. Bavo Kerk. Seeing the Christian Muller organ was the pinnacle of our entire trip. We were most fortunate to attend an organ recital the same night and...More

It was lovely to visit this huge, Gothic cathedral because, until now, I only knew it as the subject of Saenredam's paintings. The choir stalls are beautifully carved and it possesses a lovely early 16C chancel screen.

Entering the church is €2.50 a person, which you can pay at the desk at the entrance. You won't have to pay extra to see the concert.
