Our canal cruise was so relaxing and enjoyable and I took many pics. I noticed that this area looked the cleanest and we decided to go for a walk in this area and it was very nice indeed. I didn’t want to walk much as...More

This is part of western belt and most beautiful part of the Amsterdam canals, in my opion. Very narrow canal, quiet, peaceful.

Great place for a stroll in the summer/spring. Not sure how good this will be in the winter though! Definitely worth checking out.

Lovely canal and neighborhood, worth a long leisurely stroll, enjoy all the canal houses, look for differences.

This is another canal to walk around with beautiful houses and gorgeous water scenes including the boats and houses on the water. Really a nice experience! I say this is a definite "go"!

This canal is the 'Gentleman's Canal'. It is great to sit and let someone else drive and a guide tell you about the area and the history. A 'Must Do' when in Amsterdam.

I was actually looking for Hofjes, or Almshouses, when I came across this repurposed church, with its doors opened invitingly. I couldn't resist and went inside for a look. There was a preparation for a concert going on, I did not have a reservation, so...More

It's great to spend a couple of hours just wondering about. There not many tourists, and the locals just do their business, so you feel the place and its peacefullness. It's worth being there more than museu s

This is a great part of Amsterdam! I loved every everything about it. The views that you see from there are just so stunning! I liked the buildings and how colorful everything is. I felt pretty good while I was walking trough streets.

Both the canal and the street wrap around the city center on the west, south and east. The Jordaan, where we stayed for a week on house boat in mMay, is in the west, Great neighborhood location.

A great walking city. Very safe. My teenage nieces walks on their own even deep in the night. If pickpocketting reaches the evening news, it says enough about the city. Have fun in amazing amsterdam.
