This is a really interesting museum. At first it feels like a regular house tour and then -- surprise! -- you're in a large Catholic church.

Hubby had read about this church a while before we thought of Amsterdam, so we knew we wanted to check it out while there. It's one of the more affordable exhibits with a good audio tour in the city. It not only gives you an...More

One of the best, historical museums of Amsterdam. Well worth the entrance fee and, it is definitely a must visit if you want to learn about how people lived in the middle ages in Amsterdam.

The Church in the Attic is worth the small entrance fee and the 1 to 2 hours one spends wandering the site.

Church in the attic. Absolutely fascinating. Free audio guide which is very interesting. Has a modern cafe and cloakroom facilities. Lovely little shop.

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
