Short but nice ride, from the train not much views (you are inside or in the front) but once you get to the terrace at the university it's a great view from there. The bahn is included in the day ticket for public city transportation.

Incredibly clean and fast. Zips you to the top in minutes and very economical. We used both Polybahns while we were in Zurich and one has to admit that the transit systems are inexpensive and one of the best ways to get around the city.

This funicular is located behind the Star Bucks. It takes you up to the University and has a great view of Zurich.

This is a quick ride, but not free. Officials checked our passes when we disembarked at the University level. The rides are often so no wait. Very steep so a true funicular. Excellent views of the city from the top. And access to the university...More

I would say polybahn gets you to the best spot in Zurich for pictures from top. This is the ETH university. Once you get there turn right and walk 100meters...

It is a cute little trolly right next to the Starbucks. Takes you just a short distance, for free, to the top where the University is. Went up, took a photo of the city below and came back down. Unless you are a student, not...More

Since we had the Swiss Saver Day Pass and the ride on the UBS Polybahn was included, we decided to take a ride up and down. Once at the top, we took a right where you enter the grounds for the University. From there, you...More

Good evening Kay You can catch a 4 or 13 tram. Get off at Limmatplatz. Or catch a 31 bus and get off at Militar/Langstrasse. Alternatively, you can walk as it is not really that far. Hope this is a help to you.
