The statue is in a great stop from the lake but is not something you must see, except if you like mercury's music other wise is alright.

How wonderful that Montreux has honoured Freddie Mercury, who so enjoyed the peace and beauty of the town. If you continue walking out of the town along the path about a kilometre you will reach a silhouette with further information about Freddie Mercury. There at...More

The statue is located in the perfect spot and is the perfect image of him. The minute you see it, you remember the good times with Queen. People still come up everyday and leave floral tributes to this iconic singer Must see.

At the centre with people making photo shoots. Still an iconic statue. There is a nice round pier built in front of it where you can sit and relax and just watch people (making the most hilarious photos).

It's hard to miss as you walk along the promenade of Montreux's Lake Geneva. It seems iconic...it's been in so many photos from every angle, sunrise and sunset. Fitting tribute to an incredible talent.

The Freddie Mercury memorial is beautiful right by the lake. The artist really captured his energy in the tribute statue. Keep walking and you'll find the casino where there is a museum.

If only he contracted HIV a decade later he would still be here... great pose and be sure to follow up with the free Queen exhibit at Montreux casino.

It's definitely a statue. It looks vaguely like Mr Mercury. Most of the people that were surrounding it are probably too young to remember him. It definitely isn't the real thing. It isn't a fantasy No escape from reality.
