Great design, great views!
Jul 2021
Very nice wooden structure. The stairs are steep but the climb is definitely worth it. On a sunny day you can see tens of kilometres away. The entrance is free but the steep climb is definitely not for everybody.

Great view across Lausanne, the lake Geneva and the Alpes. Free entrance, but beware, you have to climb up ;)

Too many trees blocking my view
Jan 2021 • Solo
It was ok but maybe because of the bad weather I was not so impressed. It was easy to reach with the bus, it stopped less than 5 minutes away from the tower. Also it looks very high but going upstairs was not so exhausting. Entrance is free but check the closing hours as there is a door which you open with a button, perhaps after the working hours the button stops working. There were many families playing with children by the lake and forest nearby.

Worth the climb

Interesting tower to walk up. Approx 150 steps up and at the top a wonderful view over the city of Lausanne and the lake Leman. The tower is a wooden structure and worth the hike up for the view at the top

Great views
Nov 2019
The view at the tower is lovely - over the city and surrounding area, as well as the lake and snow covered mountains. The construction details are also interesting. I found it a challenging climb, but I succeeded. If taking public transportation, make sure to take the right bus.

Absolutely unique and incredible view
Aug 2019 • Couples
This was a great surprise as it is one of the few free things to do!!

the view from the top of the tower is wonderful, it's also really unique tour with a two-way staircase.

you catch the number 16 bus up and it takes you down a different route , so you get to see a whole lot of the city as well.

There is playgrounds, walks and views, you cant swim in the lake, but there is barbecue facilities and chairs and tables and Cafe.

This tower located in the top of Lausanne, seems to come out of a movie of "star wars"..... The view once you reach the top is breathtaking...

Unique tower made entirely of wood
Aug 2019 • Family
This place was 10 min drive away from where we were staying so we decided to visit. It was the first place we visited in the day and it's built in a cute little wooded park. It's a tall tower built entirely in wood - not ticketed but only about 50 odd people can go at a time. It wasn't crowded at all first thing in the morning so it was very pleasant. The stairs are built like a double helix and there are 2 such stairways. The kids took one way and we took the other. There are 151 steps one way and it's a pretty easy climb for an average family. The views from the top are great - Lausanne town and green areas on one side and the mighty Alps on the other with Lake Geneva in the foreground. Not unmissable, but surely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Lovely tower and fantastic view
Jul 2019 • Family
It was a little hard to find via car since I was expecting to see a huge structure visible from the road. Just look for the signs to the lac Sauvabelin and you should be ok. The parking area is close to a café/ restaurant and a park and small pond. It’s a short walk to see the tower from the pond. You need a bit of fitness to climb the stairs but once you are up the tower it’s an amazing 360 view on a fine day.

I would recommend this to any visitors able to catch the bus or drive out to this part of town.
